@warunamk i think you are

@warunamk i think you are talking about the first half of that auction,,not only CSK even KKR didn't show any interest to buy sachithra at that time .. , first half of the auction totally went nuts ,it was like even para will get picked by MI :P ,it was that much of a crazy auction .
that's a really complex half mate ,so we really dunno what are the plans of CSK in the first half of the auction , they must have saved that money for someone else to buy at any cost . but i was mentioning about the second half of the auction. second half of the auction CSK and KKR had a plan to pick a spinner , so sachithra came up first bingo!!! , jack pot to him :D

Ipl

IPL is paying certain amount to SLC for sending players to IPL. So there is no point cheap labour. BCCI is taking care of SL Players and the SL board.

Not a proper contract

If I have signed a proper contract for a specialist trade I cannot sell my services to another EVEN IN MY SPARE TIME ! This has been accepted in a court of law.

So better watch when you make sweeping statements and distract the trend of a argument !

Earth calling Sri Lankans!

"SL players are nurtured starting from their 'diet/nutrition, fitness, medical benefits by the SLC"

you think slc is taking care of players??

my friend thanks to mahinda rajapakse stadium slc is bankrupt... when you have politicians and their cronies at slc they dont do whats best for slc or our players they do whats best for the political party that got them into that position...

thats why slc agreed to build a stadium in hambantota without using stadiums it already had for world cup 2011 and that has totally wiped the cricket board clean and now the cricket board may not be able to raise their head for at least a decade!

please read articles like the one below before you think slc should decide where and what players should be doing when not playing for sri lanka!!! outside of national commitments they can do what they want. just because one or two seniors are well off dont think the other players have a lot of money and are being looked after by slc... most of the gyms and training facilities are closed because slc dnt have money to operate them!!! young players are going to gym and training and feeding themselves out of their own pockets for years now!

Sigh

One thing to remember is that we can't depend on our "Mystery" spinners to forever be the enigma. Mendis proved that eventually you're old news and batsmen play you better. Sad fact that Akila was brought relatively cheaply and would eventually be overused in the nets. But he and every spinner claiming to hold mystery, must take the way of Murali, and better their game. Fair enough his variations is his strong point, be he is good with his flight.

Ought to learn Young Akila, ought to learn.

yesterday BCCI has banned

yesterday BCCI has banned english county cricketers from playing in india following home team loss to england, cause they felt that they are getting used to the indian conditions , true, like wise IPL will only benefit international players and their countries to get used to indian conditions . i'm sure this will be a golden opportunity to akila to get used to indian conditions .

@Ravana do we ever play under

@Ravana do we ever play under a crowd like in Eden gardens ? do we every have snow cold conditions like in Dharmashala? do you ever seen a fogy international cricket ground in SL around 12 noon like in delhi? & what i have learned that we use kokabura balls to play cricket and indians use some other brand . so india is a totally different world for us , i'm sure that's why we are having a poor record against them in india.
