Professional management

I am not trying to create an argument here. What I am asking for is professional management for SLC and it's assets.

By all means both sides of the coin should be looked at but it must be done in a PROFESSIONAL manner by qualified individuals. The amounts of money and other stakes are so high now that business school graduates are a must. Preferably they should have international experience.

The Old days of keeping spent and jobless ex cricketers employed are gone.

If SLC is run properly all those cricketers can be paid a pension to allow them to enjoy a happy retirement. Even vocational courses in journalism, physical training, groundmanship and of course coaching can be run to use their knowledge of the game lucratively.

There is no place for amatuers, how ever well meaning they may be when the stakes are so high.

since i have to justify what

since i have to justify what i said, i went thru the auction again and i found out that sachithra didn't pop up in the first half of the auction? so how the heck CSK gonna pick him?

CSK's auction strategy

i think now it's clear why they didn't pick akila or sachithra at the fist place , and why akila went for bargain

Catalogue

Surely there must be some form of catalogue where the buyers know who is being auctioned ? If so all you have to do is wait for your man to come up and also make sure some of the compettition spend more than they should on others, by some calculated pushing !

Having been a buyer in the Colombo Tea auction for many years, I know this is fun.
