Ashan Priyanjan and Suranga Lakmal were recalled, while Lakshan Sandakan earned a maiden call-up, when Sri Lanka named a 16-man squad for the fourth and fifth One-Day Internationals against England on Thursday (December 4).

Priyanjan, who was dropped for the series following his failure to make an impact during the recent whitewash in India, replaced Mahela Jayawardene in the third ODI after the former captain opted out citing personal reasons. Jayawardene has been included in the squad as well.

Lakmal, the seamer who was recovering from an ankle injury, made a comeback, while Sandakan, the chinaman bowler who was a part of the Sri Lanka A squad that played England in the tour games prior to the start of the series but didn't get any match time, was drafted in as well.

Rangana Herath, after being rested for the India series, has picked up four wickets in three ODIs so far, while Ajantha Mendis, who has been the pick of Sri Lanka's bowlers with five wickets in the series, have retained their spots.

The ones to be left out were Thilina Kandamby, who scored a duck in the third ODI, and Shaminda Eranga, who replaced Nuwan Kulasekara for the series but did not get a game.

Sri Lanka lead the seven-match series 2-1, with the fourth ODI to be played in Colombo on Sunday.

Squad: Angelo Mathews (capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kusal Perera, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Mahela Jayawardene, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ashan Priyanjan, Jeevan Mendis, Rangana Herath, Dilruwan Perera, Lakshan Sandakan, Dhammika Prasad, Suranga Lakmal, Thisara Perera, Lahiru Gamage, Ajantha Mendis.
