'I didn't refuse an IPL contract' - Dinesh Chandimal

"I didn’t refuse an IPL contract. What happened was I was given an IPL contract and I was in India for two weeks but didn’t get a chance to play. I knew I wasn’t going to get a chance either. Then I asked the management whether I could go back home and work on my game without wasting my time...

Bloody idiot! So many players around the world have improved their skills through IPL but this fellow wanted to give his back side to Arjuna who is anti-IPL.

Best wishes to the new captain! Tough job to captain SL with all the political messing around. Chandi also has copped a fair share of unfair criticism (including from me). Lets be honest, he has been SL's best test batter by a long way in the last two years. He is certainly one of the few certain starters in the test team and it's fair enough to give him change to lead the team for a long time.

The comment above captures us fans does'nt it? Go to the IPL and we question the players patriotism and greed, don't go the IPL and we question that they don't want to improve.

I would say Dinesh Chandimal is up to the mark. 3 suggestions for him

1. He needs to do a couple of seasons in England to be an all wicket player

2.need more consistency. Place price on wicket like Sang a. He has the talent

3.study a role model. He does not need to look further than Faf, what a player. Grit, determination, self belief and courage whatever the situation. You can see it in his face every single ball. Never relents
