Well played by Sanga, Mahela and co - this is not the place for you. This is still a bunch of thugs and thieves looting the game we love. By joining these guys will only get involved in something they don't want to. If the Minister and Government were asleep, now would be a good time to wake up!

I have a different view on this. This is perhaps the first time in many years we have a genuine chance to change the entire system and the former players should seriously consider what they have rejected.

If the government is genuinely willing to assist the sports minister in modifying the SLC constitution and amending the sports law, then the management structure at SLC, as well as how office bearers are elected, can be improved.

The title is a bit misleading given what Aravinda has actually said.
And it is a good response from Aravinda.

I see where Hilal is coming from and with that angle I do agree.

Although having committees for show and not listening to them nor implementing any suggestions is an utter waste of time and that has what has happened in the past not just within in Sri Lankan cricket but other board even the ICC advisory panel was once like that...that's the reason Michael Holding resigned.

Looks like the current sports minister is trying a fast one and this is a smoke screen for his "incompetent" authority to loot the coffers. Why are these ministers always with sinister motives instead of doing an honest job-I guess then they will not become ministers, neh?
