Hathurusingha changes the fortunes of Bangladesh cricket

Whilst agreeing to what author Janaka Malwatta portrays of De Silva as a cricketer, it is pertinent to mention here that it was De Silva’s poor misjudgment of Chandika Hathurusingha as a potential Sri Lanka coach that saw him end up coaching a different country other than his motherland.

Good one Saadi, it takes guts and having the balls to write against someone like DS, Who was revered in 80s as one of the best wrist spinner of our land.

Add to Chandika , we also lost Prabath Nissanka as a bowling coach because he wanted to go to Australia to further his coaching career. Plus we all know how DS and his nephews swindled money from SLC.

I can give a list of players who went through the cracks because of nepotism and arrogance of our administration.

It's a blight in our system, hoping the new government (hope MR will loose), put an end to this nonsensical behavior.

at least DS had the 'balls' to take a firm stand on a disciplinary lapse, unlike today's administrators who allowed Sanga to make his 'posh' appearance at Wimbledon and play for 2nd division Surrey while his country struggled against Pakistan and failed to defend 377 and secure a 3rd place spot in the rankings. Cheer on, 'cricket fans'

DS and his cronies had the Balls to do a daylight robbery on SLC. I am not sure sacking Hathurasinghe was the right call. Well allowing Sanga to play for Surrey is something I still can't understand. Sanga may be a great player but no one is bigger than the game or the country they represent. Not forgetting he is where he was because the opportunity he got to represent his country. Like what author said there are so many who didn't get that opportunity even though they were good enough. It's no point of talking about past history. I hope for Sri Lanka sake history won't repeat itself.
