Mathews is a unlucky man, we knew the result of the ODI series when SL C named the captain for the ODI series.

Mathews has the best ODI Average among SL Cricketers to date , which is 42.20 in August 2018. As a experienced player I don't think he should dropped. You need players with experience to give a fight.

Agreed, Getting out of world cup with just one or two matches win. This time world cup matches are played in round robbin manner.
