These rankings based on cumulative stat are absolutely zero value for player selection. In response BAN 500, SL top players' run contribution to score 400/3wk was a major factor and strike rate was unimportant. Beyond that stage, strike rate of senior batsmen was a major factor in order win the test and Chandimal was as usual failure. If he scores more than 50, SL loses any winning of winning. In fact, need someone similar to Dickwella capacity, probably Asela or Tharanga.
