Listless Sri Lanka missing spark on the field

There is no doubt the Sri Lanka players have high hopes for the World Cup, even now. But that is not the impression they are giving off. When bowlers are lumbering after balls, bellies wobbling, it is easy to begin wondering if they really want to win this tournament.

I dont get the chance to watch the games in full but Andrew is a reliable authority and this is an interesting observation consistent with lackluster performance. What is going on and if we cant light the fire for the WC I am afraid we have bigger issues than team selections.

Ha ha "bellies wobbling" i thought i was the only one who noticed that.... How can a coach allow a bowler like malinga to get so out of shape physically?

We may not be performing well at this moment, but take heart!. KS and MJ will try their very best to win this WC. I am sure they want to go out with a "bang". WC is the only "feather" they do not have in their caps. They will rally the troops in the matches to come.

They want to be WC winners also, not only Arjuna and Sanath and the group.

We must understand the mindset playing an associate team like Afghanistan. It is very difficult to have that "spark", because you think that it is going to be an easy win. I am not saying it is correct but that is how it goes sometimes.

So let's wait. We are still in it.

Has Fernando finally grown a pair? Thank goodness he has stopped comparing sports to chocolate melting in his mouth and quoting lines from books and movies a lot of people don't know anything about.
