Sri Lanka sports minister travels to Dubai for do-or-die talks with ICC

With a little more than four months left before an International Cricket Council (ICC) deadline to hold Sri Lanka cricket elections, Sports Minister Faiszer Musthapha expects to meet the ICC hierarchy at the end of this month in a desperate bid to buy more time to comply with their demand.

What is the issue here, seriously we have real challenges on the field to worry about nonsense like elections. Suspension from the ICC is simply not an option - it defeats the purpose of playing international cricket!

I am not sure what we are waiting for? Everyone knows what the problem is - it's been well documented for years. There is no mystery to resolve here. Just fix it and get on with it or get out and let someone who can, fix it.
