Angelo Mathews, the Nagenahira Nagas captain, believed his side had a winning total in the SLPL final which they could have defended had weather not intervened to cut the second innings short, and make Uva Next champions via the Duckworth/Lewis method. no it aint enough, and Angelo should know better in that wet ground with a wet ball that total wasn't good enough. the fielders were struggling when UVA came back after the 9th over after the first rain interupption. and then the ball got wet when and that made it very hard for the bowlers to grip. for those who haven't got an idea of a wet ball think of your leather wallet when its soaked in water that's how the ball feels when its wet. saying all that that was a great innings by Mathews ofcourse the conditions helped him. even better was the Munaweera innings. He has no international experience, Mathews was balling with Eranga and Mendis, new ball to start with and he hammered all of them. pity that munaweera might not get a chance to play in the world t20 and hope Mathews will be able to repeat his stunts in this SLPL. also trust his IPL team has learnt the lesson now and let him bat up the order to take the best out of him
