New Selectors, Same Mistake

In the only full test series Dhananjaya de Silva played at home, he scored over 300 runs at an average over 60 against the then no. 1 ranked Aussies. But for the Sri Lankan test team studded with batting stars such as Lahiru Thirimanne and Kaushal Silva (who averages 24 in tests after 26 matches and 30 after 35 matches respectively), DDS is not good enough to make it to the squad after a year from his debut.

Totally agree with you on this Gamika.

Adding proven Test failures such as K Silva, Thirimanne and dropping out Dananjaya, not sure what the selectors were thinking about. Also not able to spot talent.. the only conclusion is their brains are in their asses and no different from S Jayasuriya.
