ODIs likely to replace one West Indies-Sri Lanka Test

Cricket West Indies may scrap one Test from Sri Lanka's tour next month, in favour of limited-overs internationals. The teams were due to play three Tests only, including the Caribbean's first day-night Test, but only a week out from the Sri Lanka side's departure, CWI informed Sri Lanka..

It makes sense to add a few Odis to this tour of WI, limited to 3 Tests. The WC is coming up next year & maximizing exposure vs different opponents beneficial to both sides.

Also, in form front order batters like Upul Tharanga , who was totally overlooked again for test series despite his good ton making performances in super-4 tournament, would now get a chance to expand exposure & contribute more runs for SL.
