Great Kaushal Silva is back in the squad.
Let me set the alarm to wake up in 5 hrs....I don't want to see another painful 90 ball 12 next to his name plus a lost umpire review!!!

Roshen Silva

Dilruwan Perera
Rangana Herath
Suranga Lakmal
Nuwan Pradeep

Really do not want Kaushal Silva in the team. Such a useless player. I dont want Thirimanne to play either but i feel SL will probably choose him instead of Roshen Silva. If you are going to re introduce Thirimanne to the national team then it should be in ODI not in Test cricket.

Great to see, all the Colombo boys are in. Dhananjaya de Silva OUT (average 38, 02 centuries in just 10 matches), Kaushal Silva IN (average 30, 03 centuries in 35 matches).

Kaushal Silva's job is to play the new ball..i think we missed that job in Indian tour as Tharanga failed big time.if the openers can stay at least 15 overs together that will be a huge adavantage for the rest of the batting line up. I am no fan of him but when you see guys like Tharanga ruling the SL cricket this guy has done way better job than Tharanga in the tests..

I feel Kaushal will not be in playing 11 but Definitely Thirimanne as he is the vice captain. Probably him or Sadeera will open with Dimuth. No room for Roshen Silva.

I like to know how can they select a prodder Kaushal Silva who likes to gobble up 100 balls to make 10 runs but peril after doing all those hard work being an opener. As an opening bat his job is to take the shine the new ball by occupying the crease as a natural opener would do and make it easier for the other batsman. I find that hard to understand on what grounds Kaushal Silva was selected? Why couldn't they give someone like Ron Chandragupta a go. Let's face it we are not going as favourites anyway. So why they couldn't find someone young to groom him as a future opener?

Obviously selectors couldn't find a natural right arm off spinner or a right arm leg spinner but selected this tosser (Pardon the Pun) called Dilruwan? I was told by someone who has connections that Dilruwan has Roshan Abeysinghe who is been pulling the strings behind the scenes to get him selected.I never believed that story but it is so clear that no matter who is in charge of the selection committee Dilruwan always get selected no matter if he was a total failure.

We can't blame the coaches when we select team not on merits and based on horses for courses and having an eye on future of the team going forward.

No wonder why were struggling to even beat Zimbabawe when we cant even pick the right side?
