Eranga's action found to be illegal

The International Cricket Council today announced that an independent assessment has found the bowling action of Sri Lanka’s Shaminda Eranga to be illegal and, as such, the fast bowler has been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.

A real shame but this was predicted on this forum (cant remember who) a couple of years ago. Time for SLC to wake up, this is now two bowlers in two years called with illegal action in test cricket.

I think its because most (including SLC officials) don't fully understand the Murali issue and incorrectly assume that despite one have a dodgy action you can continue to play because Murali did. Stop looting and get the facts and get it down to the grass roots so we don't have to deal with this at international level.

Feel sorry for Eranga and our team.... As @Stormy says when are we going to learn!...... we should also invest on a setup for testing so that we can take advantage of the 15 degree rule with some unique actions without messing them....
