'Still waiting to know why I'm being rested' - Malinga

"I came because, when I started playing cricket whenever there was a national team practice they needed net bowlers. I came in the capacity of a net bowler," Malinga told ESPNcricinfo. Malinga has said his next goal is the 2019 World Cup. If he does play, it could be his last tournament.

Yes agree with Malinga in one point. SL selectors do not have the backbone to tell directly that he has been dropped. They should have tell that directly rather than telling he was rested.

But on other point Mali please go back and earn ur place again rather than talking like u are the man !!!. No place is guaranteed to u because of your past reputation. Its only the CURRENT PERFORMANCE that count.

There are 5 good fast bowlers better than u currently. So plz go back to domestic cricket AND EARN YOUR PLACE IF YOU CAN !!!!!

Bit unprofessional if Chairman of selectors has not done so.

Players need to be told directly and in private if they are out of the side and why..and not find out via the media.

If they are rested surely it would be hard to say so...assuming player accepts the reason.
If they are dropped they need to be told and the reason and what they need to do to try get back into the side.
