I managed to get hold of Sunil Wettimuny at his Baddegana Bungalow for this interview. I was lucky to find him grounded, since he flies most of the time. Sunil’s father a double Chartered Engineer by profession had 5 sons, and to teach them the rudiments of cricket, he built the first indoor Turf

I think the writer needs to get his facts right. Even though it sounds so good to hear being a Sri Lankan to have it on record the only test cricketer who happens to be pilot is a Sri Lankan. But I am afraid there is another player former West Indies tormentor called Colin Croft who is also a commercial pilot.
