Thirimanne is always playing for himself, not for the team - do you agree?

Well the selectors dont seem to think so. Isnt that what matters?

he has been playing for himself since his debut and our stupid selectors cannot identify him... what a shame.. even chandimal plays like that but at least he tries and fails in ODI S but thirimanne only plays to secure his place with those useless slow innings which does have a very negative impact on Sri Lankan innings.

That's what happen when crooks become selectors. No surprise see some batsman ranked way below 100 in SL not only in national squad but also VC.

I don't get this guys game plan which appears to be stone-wall and then hit a wild shot to up the run rate. He brings the game to a stop and I am not sure how this could be a game plan in any form of cricket but he keeps doing it and keeps getting selected!

With all do respect for Thirimanne, I think his job is to perform as a starter. By that, I mean - play first two tests, gets dropped for bad performance. Then play the first three ODIs, then gets dropped again. Nonetheless, he gets selected for every series. It's simple. He is a starter. (more like face of the company). Easy peasy. Sorry guys. I'm just letting out my frustration out with this guy. May be he works better as an advertisement for

Anyhow, I hate bashing our boys. It's just a bad patch of time. I do hope he finds his mojo back. May be he should change his batting approach. Be more aggressive.

Thirimmane was never a test player he was always a very good ODI player!

Selectors got it wrong from the beginning.

Same with Chandimal, he's not a ODI player but a very good Test player.

Poor selection by Sanath and co. is the reason we are where we are right now!
