Nice photo. Just curious to know why Dhyan is turning up for Tamil Union when his legendary Father represented the SSC plus usually the bulk of the Anandians mostly prefer the Maitland Place club.

Does anyone know the exact reason?

Some people thinks it is because my father and i are "not on good terms" which is absolutely ridiculous as we get along better than most father and son, these days.
The real reason is because my family and i both believed that playing at SSC would earn me stories like "he only plays there because his father did too" and my achievements would be misread as "he only got there because of his surname and not his hard work"

Thanks for your clarification at least that will clear the unnecessary belief of those some people who thought on the wrong reasons for your choice of club.

TU has produced some fine cricketers and hope you will also blossom into being a good player and would go onto to represent the Country soon.

Wish you all the best for a glittering cricketing career!

I was searching for Arjuna with his kids several time but failed. finally got to see. Your dad's name will be never be forgotten in all Sri Lankan's heart and the fans following world cricket. He brought us glory and we are proud of it.

I've got Sri Lanka's best interests at heart and it is indeed my dream to one day play for my great motherland.
Thank you for your kind wishes.

Your dad put us on the map! In 1996 WC he averaged nearly 50 with the bat. He was instrumental in our greatest sporting moment. I wish he stayed out of politics though. But thankfully unlike Sanath Jayasuirya he did it after he retired.
