Angelo should bat at 5, he is the best batsman found in SL history to bat at no 5. Batsmen who bat at no 5 should need lot of skills not only cricket talent. pressure handling, leadership, patient, tactics,confident,talent/etc. Ms Dhoni, Lance Clusner, Michael Bevan,Arjuna Ranathunga,Michael Hussey,Michael Clarke are some examples...of course angelo can bat at any position in the line up but then whoever bat at no 5/6 will have to face consistency+confident issues and will be in and out from the team. That s how they ruined Chandimal's carrier. Thiri also is a victim of this. Chandimal and Thiri both are with pure Technics and should play at first 4 positions in both ODI/Test.

I would start with Chandi at 3 (unless he is the keeper) on the basis he has handled pace with reasonable ease. It does creat an issue on Thiri and Anji as I beleive Anji should be at 4 and Thiri is really a top order batter. Decent compromise could be to leave Anji at 5 and bat Thiri at 4.

Kusal should be the Test keeper and bat at 6/7 fit Kiththa in at 6/7 too. Chandi should be a specialist batsman in Tests and bat at 3 or 4; he can keep in Limited Overs as Kusal has to open.

Well.. position is not the most important thing now because if chandimal wants to play in test side he HAS TO IMPROVE HIS TECNIQUE WHEN PLAYING THE PULL SHOT OR FRONT FOOT DRIVES. Mainly he cant do it successfully. If he wants to be a good test player he has to work hard on his game. Otherwise he will lose his place or he will struggle to face good bowling attacks. In modern day cricket players have to improve their every weaknesses.

Dude just check on his test stats before you start commenting. .After Sanga he owns the 2nd best test average in current SL team...
