Do you think Tharanga should be instantly AXED (like recent t20 V SA) whenever he hits a brief lean patch?

As a young batsman he gave maximum support to his senior batsman. Result was 7 200+ partnerships. And if these guys see it as hiding then Please give up watching cricket for the sake of this site and sake of SLC.

Upul is a B grade player at best.

Simple truth is UT is such a polarizing player to not only the fans but clearly the selectors too. I cannot deny the stats are there for his ODI track record (please let us ALL agree he should NEVER play test cricket EVER again), but there needs to be a point where these childish fortnightly "UT is the best thing to happen to SL since independence in 1948..." polls, multiple blogs posts, continuous verbose and messiah like worship becomes an embarrassment to not only the people doing it (whether they are same people/accounts or different ones), but to UT himself.

There is simply a large number of fans who dislike the chap - nothing he does will ever change that. I loved the guy when he first came on to the scene, but being a test cricket lover, and how poorly UT has performed in this format makes me have a permanent dislike for him in general. I have the same view of Thirrimanne too - his ODI record is not too bad either. I admit to being absolutely biased against UT - and it's clear there are other people who feel the same (a very large number of people too). No point trying to change my view of him which has stayed the same for the last 10 years with these silly posts. Its going to be the same for other people here - we're are never going to like him.

And please, stop trying to justify arguments by calling out Sanga and Mahela - this too is extremely embarrassing. The two are respected GLOBALLY for their achievements as not only as cricketers, but humans beings. Sanga and Mahela are in the top 10 ODI and test run scorers of ALL time. To put it into context, look at the other the names on the lists below. Do you honestly think UT will ever be spoken in the same breadth as Tendulkar, Kallis, Ponting, Dravid, Lara... #nevergonnahappen

Your lopsided above comment says it all about, similarly hollow-headed people like you wandering in these forums.

Who cares about the deranged personal views of such dummies, never even open to admit absolute reality?

To argue with such a person who has renounced the use and authority of reason or absolute reality, and whose rigid philosophy consists in holding even bare naked truth in contempt according to personal mindset, is like administering medicine to the dead :)

So no one with a brain would really care about their opinions/views! I am posting in these forums not convince such idiots , but to blast their rubbish con talk intended to mislead others, who are not up to the mark in current scenarios!

-----------------

what's the point of looking at most number of runs charts without considering the number of matches played to make those runs? SR Tendulkar (INDIA)-1989-2012 - 450+ odi innings played to score his 18,426 but V Kohli (INDIA)2008-2018 - 203 innings yielded near 10k runs (with much less than half of Thendulkar's inngs).

that is why batting averages have more value than looking at number of runs.

Likewise, If you look at ODI Highest run scorers played under 225 inngs, Tharanga is at No 10 rank. Virat Kohli is No1.
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...

If you look at Openers who have played under 200 inngs - Tharanga is the No 8th ranked highest run scored Opener!

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...

Highest number of Odi Century makers among openers who have played under 200 innings, Tharanga is ranked No 5 with 15 tons.

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...

The list goes on & on serving no purpose or real evaluation.

Cricexp had jumped again too soon to conceal his futile attempt in Hesham ...HOooooooooo :-O)

Cricexp u cannot bluff any more to fool others in IC forums. Publishing bogus comments to implant your false opinions/statements & mislead others is not going to work anymore. Julius seems to be constantly policing these forums to weed out such crap. Especially keeping an eye on your activities as seen from recent punches you received from him. It really doesn't matter if it is Cricex, Hesham or unanimous, the result seems the same :<)D

This Julis bugger purposefully do this to tarnish Tharanga's image otherwise who will want to insult Upul like this. Now he is saying Average matters not the runs, Upul Tharanga has never been averaged above 39 even in his school days. His FC average is 39, ODI Average is 34, T20 AVG is 16, Test AVG is 31.

Upul Tharanga is fairly better than Jehan Mubarak and Michael Vandort. Just because of Upul Tharanga is a below average player you don't try to make neutral fans hate him by writing all this stats and articles.

Mate, just stop. This thread post has gone on for 4 pages with a large number of responses arguing against your case for UT. You've been doing this for as long as I have been visiting this forum (3-4 years now) and all you ever do is get into heated arguments with others when they do not agree with you.

You accuse others of bias when you yourself are blinded by your dedication to a player the completely polarizes SL fans. There is not a single Lankan cricketer I am able to recall (having watched cricket for close to 25 years now) that polarizes the fans as much as UT. Are you looking to bait others into an argument with these never ending UT threads? You will never convert the unappreciating - simple truth. Take my advise and end these UT posts for our all sakes.

Why the forum admin does not bother taking your constant UT posts/polls down when they pop us is beyond me. All it does is lead to an open blood bath in this forum. I am hoping you reach a sense of semblance and end it once and for all, for all our sakes. You probably feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall, and we feel exactly the same when we see your UT threads. Please end them.

This Cricexp account is probably an indian Account or Running by indian rupees. The typical player hating style of india without any data and fact is the Point.
