Long overdue! After using political favours to get into the team in his 40s during his playing days now Sanath Jayasuriya has done more major damage to our cricket. Sanath Jayasuriya is a national disgrace. His reputation as cricketer had been destroyed by his foolish behavior. He became politician and was a corrupt selector who picked the sons of other politicians, his friends and club contacts. Sanath will end up on the wrong side of the law too. Only a matter of time. Such is the man's lack of intelligence.

Well yes but...the more pertinent question is do we simply change selection panels till the team does well? If we want to get serious, this practice of the Honorable man appointing a committee to make selections but still requiring to approve the selections must be stopped. This is not a colonial institute but team managing professionals so time for some professionalism.

If they continue to pick selfish players like chandimal and useless bowlers like lakmal, kulasekera then we need a change , if selectors can't understand after more than 100 plus matches for chandimal that he is not a ODI OR T20 player then we seriously need a change. I THINK OUR MAIN PROBLEM IS STICKING WITH PLAYERS LIKE CHANDIMAL AND THIRIMANNE FOR TOO LONG WHILE NOT GIVING ENOUGH OR FAIR CHANCES TO YOUNGSTERS WHO COME INTO THE TEAM. E.G. DASUN SHANAKA..

I also like to ask what has Chandimal done at international odi/t20 s to grant him a place??? He simply lacks match awareness and some people brag about his previous 5 consecutive fifties in England all of which ended up in losses shows that his runs are too slow to have an inpact on modern odi games and it also shows that he can't score hundreds after even playing lot of balls (5 fifties is not good enough at top 4 at least he should have converted one of them to 100 because he uses up lot of deliveries). If we take e.g. Babar Azam who has joined Pakistan in the team only 9-12 months ago has more hundreds than chandimal with higher strike rate of 90 while aceraging 52 plus , but our chandimal has the lowest strike out of the players who have faced more than 4000 balls since 2003 shows what sort of burden and disaster this chandimal is for the team.

We also need to change our useless bowling coach champaka ramanayake who is wasting our national fast bowlers by giving all the wrong advise, has anyone wondered why our bowlers ball well when they come into international matches but lose their way quickly.. it's all due mis handling of champaka ramanayake who himself was a full toss bowler while his career...

We need to change nuwan zoysa as well as he too does not posses the skill and technique of coaching , we should get someone like wasim Akram or waqar younis to coach our bowlers and they surely know there stuff.
