Should Chandimal be sacked from the team?

There is player called Thilanga Sumathipala, he is a better opening batsman than Chandimal.

His comeback into Tests has been promising so no need to change that.
He can probably do well in ODIs too if he plays the way he did on his first UK tour. Pace out an innings and abt properly rather that swinging away

First thing we need to de-link Chandi from Thiri as these are two very different issues. Chandi was the highest run scorer for tests and a key 50 over player so no issues there. T20 he has been floated around and hasnt really had a lot of success but hasnt been a total failure either. SL also has a major issue finding a decent batter so I would put Chandi in with Anji and Siri as the permanent fixutres in the t20 line up and the rest of the positions up for grabs.

Chandimal is good at test and ODI, so i think someone should replace him in t20. When kusal comes back he can take the wicket keeping role. In future tours i would like to see dilshan, herath and malinga sit out at some games to introduce young players and give them experience. That was the problem we had before. We kept sangakkara and jayawardene all the time and never had back ups for them and thats what caused this transition to be so long and hard.
