This is a useless cricketer, no use of keeping him in the team. dropped a crucial catch in the champion's trophy in UK and now against Zimbabwe in Galle.

what is the point is keeping a lazy joker in the team rather than dropping and giving him a strong warning otherwise he will never ever learn. if follow this method all players learn a lesson to do their responsibilities with will.

lazy joker???ok then...go to youtube and search for DHANUSHKA GUNATHILAKA BEST CATCH.see that & then you will know who is the joker.he is brilliant fielder.but brilliance will not work without hardwork. It's better to train him rather than dropping him from the team.Remember Dilshan said that while he was playing, the fielding coach spent some more time with dilshan and that was the key for his success in the field.

He is our best fielder. Yes catches need to stick and he needs to practice hard

Lol, the ignorance of these idiots confound me!! There they go calling the best fielder in the team a lazy joker.. He shouldn't drop, fair enough but is he the only one?? If he's lazy and useless, the remaining 10 would be tortoises& sloths...

I don't know whether we can ever find another murali, sanga, mahela, jayasuriya, etc, but we most definitely have found another dilshan... Opens the batting, makes big scores, can be super aggressive, bowls useful offspin, fields at point, is exactly what dilshan did... It angers me to see sl fans behave like Indian fans... C'mon guys, we're better than that ..

Yes. He is the Dily option at the top. He should be persisted, encouraged, nurtured, and not dropped after a single bad series as DDS, the guy who was our best batsman again a rampaging Starc at his best, so fast, so brutal, with those unplayable fast reverse swinging Yorkers, some of which he truly hit for boundaries. The only other batters to get some runs on the board were Chandi and Kmenda. So now DDS is in the cold. How did that come about? Surely this is an epic story of the sheer lunacy of selectors. Surely on this single the selectors should be fired

Keep Dhanuska the great at top (22 odis, average in 20s) and loose matches.. way to go SL Another Opener similar to KJP is brewing to loose series after series.

So called "Best Fielder" let down SL in all 3 matches he played recently. Over-hyped guy costed SL his 4th (with easy run-out chance )consecutive let-off with 3rd catch dropped today and put icing on his cake... with another pathetically cheap score like he did Vs Pk on a slightly difficult wicket at Cardiff to eliminate SL from CT. (compared to the dead flat deck at Oval where 8 batters hit merrily as him to massacre bowlers) .....LoL

Luckily UT and ND productive pair rescued SL from 2nd defeat induced by Dhanushka the failure. previous one SL lost due to his Chandimal pace (77 SR) selfish batting wasting 79 balls to score side loosing 60 with 39 dot-balls wasting 1st power play advantage.

Except for Dhanushka (77 SR) all other 8 batters in both sides, who consumed 25+ balls on that batting deck had 100+ SR ( Mendis /Tharanga /Mathews/Asela/ Mire/ Raza/ Waller/ Williams 95) in lost odi.

Dhanushka had repeatedly OPENED the familiar GATE for SL in every occasion on wickets, even slightly conducive for bowlers as seen today & in CT eliminating match Vs PK @ Cardiff.

Many more (8 vs Zm @ Galle/ 13 vs Pk @ Cardiff/ 9 vs BD @ Dambulla/ 0 Vs BD @ Dambulla/5 vs Aus @ Dambulla/2 vs Aus @Cmb/ 1 vs Eng @ Bristol/9 vs Eng@ Nottingham/ 9 vs Ire@ Dublin/ 8 & 12 vs Nz @Christchurch)

Clearly this guy will revive the worst era in SL Opening, due to 3+ yr long ludicrous experiment done with similar Single-digit Gate-opener Kusal Perera. Much hyped Dhanushka (Av26) is just another gate-opener on any track other than on a dead flat wicket where batting is a child's play. He already has 9 x Single-Digits from 22 Odis and pretty soon beat Kusal perera's 50% (29 innings from 65) 10 ball- single digit world record.
