I would be incredibly dissapointed if he was not playing next match. Kaushal Silva failed again and Thirimanne was bad too. Kaushal Silva would be my first choice to replace as Sadeera normally is an opener. Roshen Silva can take Thirimannes place.

I don't think Kaushal and Thirimanna have improved much. Especially Thirimanna wasn't comfortable in the crease at all and it was a matter of time he gets out cheaply. These two were failed players and should move on from them without wasting much time.

I just can't understand the logic behind these stupid selections. If they were ever going to make a comeback, then they should perform in first class (club level) and then in the A team. None of this happened, and worse, they are just on the team without even proper match practice.

Both Kaushal Silva and Thirimanne should be replaced. They both had had so far plenty of chances in the format. And also vice captaincy for the test should be handed to D Karunaratne. He is the right person to that position.

Best playing XI for the second test;

1. D Karunaratne(cv)
2. S Samarawickrama
3. K Mendis
4. R Silva
5. D Chandimal(c)
6. N Dickwella(wk)
7. D Perera
8. R Herath
9. S Lakmal
10. L Sandakan
11. N Pradeep
