I think Kusal Perera has hit a purple patch and some test cricket is what could make a difference and I am willing to give him a shot. I am also a KJP fan so a bit biased but I just feel he is showing some real signs of turning a new chapter. He has all the ingredients of being something special which we desperately need and needs to be given a fair chance.

Kusal is definitely a better batsman than Dickwella right now, but he's definitely not as good a keeper.

While this is manageable in the shorter formats, he's definitely not in contention as wicketkeeper for Tests. He does appear an option purely as a batsman though.

Given that Dickwella was in form in the provincial tournament, it's likely he'll retain his spot. So the chances are it'll be a tussle between Perera, Shanaka, and Mathews for the one slot at 5 or 6 (depending on where Chandimal decides to play).

To prepare effectively for the WC, the core batsmen for WC should be limited only for short-format and should not be used for test-format. It is not because they can’t be patient to play low risk game, but just to maintain short format mind-set and form until WC. Only exception is Dikka who has the same mind-set for all three format. Others who can maintain RR above 7 (two Kusal’s, UT, Danushka and Dasun etc) should be skipped from upcoming test-series until WC. Instead keep faith on young talented batsmen from provincial tournament and let them take part in test series: Niroshan Dickwella (wk), Roshen Silva, Dinesh Chandimal (c), Charith Asalanka, and (Pathum Nissanka, Manoj Sarathchandra, Sachithra Serasinghe, Lasith Aberatna, Mahela Udawatte, Ashan Priyanjan). Please give them opportunity to face quality int’l bowlers. Just learn from India who sent a 2nd string team with freshmen for SL-tour.

Puspika did anyone ask for your opinion? Why don't you do something good for the game of cricket. Why don't you expose all those who are involved in match fixing in your country. Have you ever written anything about Raina and his private batting session in a Srilankan hotel room with the female? What about former cricket president who got caught involved in match fixing? Any danger of posting them? Go and piss in your country don't come here to put your 2 cents worth and pretend as you care about my country. I am still not sure why you are allowed to be here and moreover posting s**t every single day? We don't need you here go and post your irrelevant useless posts on your country!!
