Lasith is the tactician but only Upul has a permanent position in the team.

If Chandimal can find his place back in the side, then he should be captain. With Mathews' injury provlems, I dont think we will see him leading anytime soon.

All of them will be failed unless team does not performs together. So irrespective of whoever comes to this role coach has a big role to play. If he can infiltrate some attacking and fearless mindset we will succeed.

What we need now is a tactical captain who is not afraid to take decisions. I think both Matthews and Chandimal are lacking that quality as they were grown up under conventional leaders.

( Asela Gunaratne looks to be a good option for me)

Our batters got the talent, but what is lacking is the right mindset and the proper guidance.

Bowling is a concern as except for Akila, all others are not up to the mark. Will have to find some new talent

Finally SL ODI got a long-term good captain, Tissara to lead to world cup. He is an alrounder who does not get timid against world best bowlers as well as capable to dismiss world best batsmen. Proven match winner for SL as well as for world teams he represented. He is a brave soldier that stepped up at crucial time for call from Mother Lanka to historical PAK tour and all patriotic Sri Lankans are very proud of you for standing for what the lion flag means. The 2nd call as a ODI captain was to face #1 IND on IND soil and still earned a ODI win. He will show his real colors in upcoming tri-series with TEN other good frontline batsmen and bowlers. Under Hathuru, hopefully, ODI team will not have room for mediocre blockatheons (drama players, stylish bollywood players, turquoise players needs half the overs to settle, and those have good average but run collects only after the game already decided lost). Hopefully batting line will be made with steady hitters (UT, ND, Sadheera, DDS, KM, Asela) and sluggers (TP, KP, Danushka, Kapu) and untapped youngsters. Please let the pathetic, politically corrupted past disappear.
