Please no more Prasanna. I thought he turned a new leaf in the Ireland ODIs and the first England ODI, but nope, he's just as terrible as ever.

Dilruwan is still quite inconsistent and is 35 years old. That's the twilight years for a spinners.

If fit, Vandersay should be our main spin bowler. We need an actual spinner of the ball, not something who just bowls slow. Sandakan should be given a chance if Vandersay is not fit. From his Twitter, Jeffrey doesn't seem fit just yet. Hopefully for SA, he'll be there and maybe even the T20.

Vandersay injured, pht has doosra issue, sandakan even has no control, seekuge sachithra, ajantha, randive are proven failures, even dilruwan aged one not a threatening one if conditions not suits, sachith, rambukwella are not threatening spinners. my option is Amila Aponsu he is the ideal one. only decent enough left arm spinner we have

sekkuge has not been consistent either with the ball or bat. his tasks is to get wickets and if he get runs then its good. but he had a once in a blue moon innings suddenly people go gaga over him. some times i even how does the management make decision by sending an inconsistent batsman as hitter middle of the innings, same applies to thisara perera. he is also one dimensional in his stroke play. despite he being part of many leagues he has not shown consistent performance. thats where dasun chanaka seems better coz he seems more shots/stroke all around the wicket to score runs compared to thisara.

If Vandersay is fit he should play. He has better control than Sandakan. But if Sandakan can find his rhythm and control he can be dangerous as anyone. Given the performance of Dhananjaya in test series means he should be an automatic choice in the starting XI. That means two off spinners in the playing XI whether it is Dilshan or Gunathilake. So no place for Dilruwan. Like Dinith said Amila Aponso taking loads of wickets in South Africa means he could groom in as an left arm orthodox bowler for the future. Since we have good number of spinners in line I would not go back to Seekuge even though he could throw his bat.
