If Niroshan Dickwella continues with this foolish aggressive nature all the time, his career is going to be very short. he must stop his foolish show off, of aggressive impatience behavior by offering his wicket very meekly after making 20 or 30 runs. what is the use of those petty runs to chase over 350 mark. so before becoming a captain he must try to retain his place in the team by being a consistent high scorer rather than an aggressive low scorer. if he continues like a low scorer very soon the authorities will have to replace him with a good batter to steady the team rather than keeping a useless lower scorer like you Dickwella. so give thought to your batting and try hard to be a reliable good scoring batter for srilanka.

But he should never decline stike to lakmal.
He is a good enough batsman by seeing the way he has played in test and thaf too after mathews has completed his century..

I dont think Dickwella us mature enough yet to take up the captaincy role. I dont think it is good for a team to keep switching the captaincy on a tour by tour basis. I think Thisara should be given at least 2-3 more ODI series to captain, assuming his performance is decent. I don't think players like mathews or tharanga would want to be captain again so the only other options are players that are not as experienced as them.

This discussion sums up our cricket right now. We are already talking about replacing our 7th captain in the recent past even before his debut series is over. SLC made a statement that we will appoint a captain series-by-series! Of the choices, Kusal and De Silva are not even in the squad while even Thiri doesn't know why he is in the squad. The popular choice is still playing cow-boy cricket which I enjoy but lacks discipline and maturity which is fine as he is only young - so lets make him captain!

They will never replace him. This is a player who bowled 8 overs at Mohali and went for 80 runs and scored less than 10 runs for the umpteenth time.

This man should have been 'put to grass' after his disgraceful fielding in the Champions Trophy, instead of which, he was 'selected' for a farcical World XI in two exhibition matches in Lahore, volunteered to captain the Sri Lanka team to Lahore when the captain and other players refused to go there and then became, by default, the Captain of Sri Lanka!! This is the type of vermin needed by the current administrators.

Thisera should not keep in the team as player even in any format of the game... he is using as a allrounder from murali's time.. Mathews and thisera joined the team same period. But look at where he is when comparing with Mathews. when he bats his shot selection is all over the place... bowling is worse than anybody in the team. poor fielding... why should you keep that sort of player as a captain... favourrisations... all I can see.. nothing else....
