I thought only I'm thinking that chandimal is the best keeper at the moment. But glad that there are more fans who thinks the same. He did nothing wrong as a keeper

Just think he can have a near complete team full of wicket keepers :-)

I think glovework wise PJ still the best. He is nearing the end but has done terrific service for SL.
I think he would need to be fully fit both physically and match wise to return, otherwise you will have a scenario like England had with Matt Prior.
I would just push him yet, it would be unfair. But selectors should give him courtesy of sitting down and discussing his future in private with him.

Chandimal has done an admirable job with the gloves. And I really couldn't understand his sacking. Was he picked in the side as a keeper or a batsmen. If it was the former he did nothing wrong.

I agree with Uppercut regarding his batting. He needs work on when (perhaps when fully set), and how (rolling wrists and hitting it down, unless confident he can hit it for 6)to play it.
He can speak to some experts that played it well...Ian Chappell had a segment on Cricinfo last week on hooking/pulling.
Practice against a ball machine if he can't find bowlers quick enough should do the trick.

I was very impressed with Dickwella on debut. Still very young and unpolished so cna look forward to exiciting things in te future.
The challenge comes when opposition get to know you and your strength and weakenesses from batting point of view, and how he handles foreign conditions like with the gloves. Good luck to him

Dinesh Chandimal supporting group has made sure that he will get votes as the best available WK. How LOL is that. We know how Chandimal got opportunities due to a corrupted cricket official who was a director in a sporting channel connected to a baby Rajapaksha. He earned so much from cricket. Unfortunately both are Anandians.
