Just my opinion, but Roshen Silva should not be included in this poll since he's definitely going to be in the XI (likely at 4, maybe 5).

Given that Chandimal takes up one slot and Dickwella the keeping slot, the remaining one goes between Mathews, Shanaka, and possibly Kusal Perera.

My vote goes to Shanaka because both he and Roshen toured the Windies and have scored tons there and are currently in good batting form, so have a measure of the conditions. He also gives us an extra bowling option, which would help manage the workload of our fragile bowling attack.

Kusal is also in a purple patch but brings the issue of fitness and the lack of bowling options (we'd have Dickwella, Chandimal, Mendis, and him who are keepers).

Mathews brings experience, but is badly out of form and isn't fit enough to bowl either. I think if at all have him play a test or two, but certainly not all three.

I think the tour game in the Windies is what the selectors will likely use to decide between this lot.
