I have no problem with using consultants but short-term for certain overseas assignments a bit like they used Adams in the UK.
However consultants are there to give tips/advice on handling conditions and perhaps the opposition, they are not there to make up for short-comings and failures of the main coaches

I think its reasonable to get a consultant and SL are not the only team do it. Vaas was consultant to NZ a while as was Murali to Australia. If you dont have the skills no harm is getting them. It will be a problem if its a long term thing.

Consultants turned out to be useless at the World Cup. What did the last minute hiring of Bowling Consultant Rumesh Ratnayake achieve other than make Chaminda Vaas look bad?
