Dilshan Munaweera is like putting thisara Perera as an opener, he is a hit or miss. Sure munaweera has had some great innings but let's be honest it's like one every 6innings he does something big. Vithanage is suspended from cricket at the moment. Kapu was in the squad but i think selectors want a excellent all rounder rather than a specialist batsman.

None of the above mentioned players are suitable for the national team.

These selection committee combine of idiots, brainless people. They never think out of the box, always try to be inside of box.No strategic thinkers in this committee.
Munaweera is the Definitely option for the opening spot. Don't select ones again Tharanga, Thrimanne to the Squad.

Munaweera is a powerful allrounder, has so many experinces under him and very inteligent cricketer too.

Dhanushka, thrimanne, tharanga not like that. But tharanga can play test opening spot.

Vithanage and Kapugedera must be in the middle order.

2. Kusal perera
3. Kusal mendis
4. Kapugedera
5. Chandimal
6. Mathews
8. Thisara
9. Prasanna
10. Dilruwan
11. Aponsu
12. Dhananjaya
13. lahiru gamage
14. anjelo perera
15. Dasun shanka
16. Kasun rajitha

If we going well we need to change the batting order Prasanna and vithanage need to come higher uping the order. And also we need ball first as well.

I see a total of three votes here and only those three players mentioned above must have voted on this meaningless poll.

If you want to create a poll as such, at least add more options instead of making them one sided. The third option here should be "they have been given enough chances but proven failure, hence moving on with new players".

Vithanage is banned. Kapugedara was given 100 ODI chances now time to look at the new faces. Whom would u replace in the XI? Chandimal? Mathews? Kusal? Mendis? Danushka? Silva? Or Avishka?

But last time we won T20 in India defeating India coz of good batting from Kapugedara and Chandimal... Kapugedara still should have a chance in ODI team

not ODI the T20 team...

Agree with Avizzy.. Poll should have different choices.. This really is only for the ones who agree these players should be in the team.. I'm a fan of Kapu but i think selectors r right to give youngsters priority... Besides, we dont need thugs in the side.. lol..

If you look at Munaweera's recent scores you'll see he is definitely not in form adn shouldn't even be thought of, should give a chance to Avishka before trying the much older Kapugedera. Still don't understand why Siriwardana was dropped though.

None of these mentioned players deserve a place in the A team ,let alone in the national team . They have failed over & over & please do not bring these type of RUBBISH polls as someone else mentioned already.
