As much as I like PJ, he has not been his best in the last couple of years.

On paper, Chandimal's average look very impressive. But Kaushal Silva is not far off.

Either one of them will do me fine.

Having said that, I am a bit concern that we are already expecting too much from Chandimal at such a young age (i.e. not long ago we were calling for him to be the opener).

We all know what (some of us) Sri lankans do to promising young players. We expect too much, too soon.

Put them on a pedestal at the first sign of a wicket haul or a batting spree. When they fail to live up to our expectations constantly, we kick them real hard.

So for Chandimal's sake, I hope we won't burden him with wicket keeping duties as well, not just yet.

Kaushal Silva has a very good pair of mature shoulders to bear that responsibility for relatively young player.

So I am backing Kaushal Silva.

He has all the hallmarks of a very classy Test player.

Yeah well it all depends on how mature the selectors think Chandimal is,he definitely has the talent, plenty of it,his batting alone could get him to the side and from what i saw in the ODIs hes a very good keeper, having said that he has only played 17 first class games BUT,
its all up to mental fortitude if he is mentally up to it,there is no reason his age should count against him.

Kaushal Silva fails again,
Really dissapointing show from PJ and Kaushal in this match, I was personally expecting a lot more specially from Kaushal, only bright spot among the 3 wicketkeepers in this game is Chandimal who got 69 and 47*.

JK Silva c †Dhoni b Ojha 4 (0m 8b 1x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

Prasanna Jayawardena is the best wicket keeper in the world, who can bat for a while and i think thats enogh.
he's a specialist wickt keeper. If we hv 6 ppl to bat in the top y d we expect so much frm our specialist wkt keeper.
catches win matches and a catch will come suddenly at u during a dull moment what we shud expct frm a specialist wkt keepr z to grab those chances...also may b a quick stumping.
WE cannot expect so much from Prasanna when we get 3-4 test matches fr year....
