Sam jay.. why so much hate? This is the same guy who won us a t20 world cup, the one who single handedly carried a toothless bowling attack for so long post Murali. Yes, he has a horrible attitude and doesn't give a damn about fitness and he should be dropped ASAP. Why don't we have a go at the spineless retard selectors for not doing their job. You can't expect an egotistic guy like Maali to drop himself. The selectors are paid to do put the best xi on field. So let's blame them for persisting with an overweight, injured, out of form guy.

@Sam Jay Dude if you have a Personal grudge against Malinga thats your problem!!! but dont be an IDIOT yourself trying to say he has not done anything to the country and only played for personal benefits!! Who the hell ru to judge his fitness and his quality of playing!!! Your nobody have some decency to appreciate ur fellow players!! malinga has done plenty for the country!!! even at the last world cup a Half Fit Malinga was still the highest wicket taker for the country!!! and he admitted the fact that his form was the cause of losing the game!! and he praised all the young players and didn let any criticism come there way!!! I think Your so uneducated that you dont see these points!! so your the IDIOT HERE!!!! I think malinga has alot of good qualities as a captain giving many young talented players a shot proves that he is a good leader!!!

experiment he did with new players really did work. The new players did extremely well. Credit to taking these hidden talents up. I believe repeatedly giving chances to some players when they fail over and over again these young players should have given a chance. They clearly deliver results.

Don't be too harsh on Malinga. He has done his best to the country previously but agree he is not performing well and not captaining well. Think he need some break from international cricket and if he wants to come back he should be in good shape in fitness. Hope he realize it. Also agree with giving the chance to youngsters.. Yes we have seen enough of Kule, Sachithra, Thiri and Chandimal. Thanx to the selectors we know that we have seriously competitive youngsters knocking the door. Now players like Thiri, Chandimal, Thissara and seniors like Dilshan should realize they have a serious competition and they can't take their places for granted. That does not mean Thiri and Chandimal should replace with youngsters but they need to perform well to stay in the team. Finally we must admit that loosing a series is painful but when you think about the future this two matches created a new hopes among the fans that we didn't see for years.

Let all the youngsters play few ODIs and then come to a conclusion. .. non of these players have decent first class stats.. and non of these players have played more than 5 overs each in last t20 ODIs. . so are you going to judge them on just 20 odd balls ... fans like you are one reason to downfall of SL cricket. .

i hope what he meant by " mama ain wenawa " from the team back to SL domestic cricket , cause he is just 31 , at this age if you are out of form you do not retire , you drop your self back to demotic cricket and regain the form ,otherwise it will be a very selfish act to say i will retire in early 30s . malinga surely knows that he has the financial value in the international demotic cricket even tho he gets retired . malinga still can play for another two T20 WCs for Sri Lanka . he just need that confidence back & I'm sure he can regain that confidence in SL domestic cricket .
