In the first #SLCT20 match, opening batsman Upul Tharanga starred in a whirlwind unbeaten knock off 124 runs off 67 balls striking 11 sixes and 5 boundaries as Colombo trounced Galle by 90 runs. Tharanga launched his run assault on the Galle bowlers in lifting his side from a shaky 34 for 3 wickets!

Galle were balled out for 107- 17 runs less than Tharanga's individual score shows the value of his inning!

2nd match also won by Colombo Vs Kandy thanks to Tharanga 62 -7x4-2x6 & Shehan 63 - 8x4-2x6 contributions. The match was a tie & finally Colombo became winner on the higher number of fours & sixes scored by Colombo, mainly thanks to UT & Shehan hitting most of them!

It is a shame that SL overlooked Tharanga in solitary t20 Vs SA played on the same track as in video. Tharanga has regained his blistering form again after subdued SA odi series played after 3 months without any significant match practice, since appearing in domestic super-4 list A in March/April.

He doesnt play with the same freedom against quality seemers. Thats the problem. His weakness is good seam bowling.

When hea vsing james anderson in england or Kagiso rabada in south africa, he nicks it

Why dont people understand this about tharanga. Noone is saying hes a bad player. But his weaknesss against quality seam bowling in seaming tracks is the issue.
